2022 Annual HR Legal Update
In this session Tom Berry will share recent Illinois and Federal legislative activities, recent court rulings that impact HR/employment law, and tips for effectively updating employee materials and policies. As an HR professional, the number of legal issues you need to be aware of can be overwhelming. Especially when you consider the increasingly litigious nature of our society — and the many nuances of employment law. In this program, you’ll cover the core skills it takes to safely interview job candidates … counsel employees … and mediate disputes. Topics will include EEOC, ADA, FMLA and practical exercises to help address the many challenges we face in HR every day.
