Privacy Policy

    The Metro East Illinois (MEI-SHRM), an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) respects the privacy of our members and the visitors to our website.

    MEI-SHRM reserves the right, at its discretion, to collect personal information from our members and other visitors to the website for the sole use by the MEI-SHRM. There are forms for visitors to request information, products, and services. These forms may ask for contact information (such as your phone number or e-mail address), unique identifiers (usually your SHRM membership number, if one is available), financial information (such as your credit card number), or demographic information (for example, your age, location, PHR/SPHR designation, etc.). Contact information from these forms is used to provide the products, promotional materials, or memberships that you request. Forms on our site that request financial information do so in order to bill you for products or services ordered. Unique identifiers (specifically, your SHRM member number) are collected from website visitors to verify the user's identity for access to restricted content or features on the site.

    We will not disclose personal information to third parties without the express consent of our members or visitors.

    In addition, MEI-SHRM reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event sponsored by MEI-SHRM, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photography/video. The MEI-SHRM may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by the MEI-SHRM including but not limited to brochures, invitation, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc.  Any person desiring not to have their photo taken or distributed must contact Laura Miller or Jacqueline Jefferson in writing of his/her intentions and include a photograph. The MEI-SHRM will use the photo for identification purposed and will hold it in confidence.
